MATTHEW CRASTON
Before founding Finance Map in 2015, Matthew had more than 30 years of full-time experience with investment banks Chase Manhattan, SBC Warburg and UBS, and with fund manager ECM Asset Management. He continues to provide advisory services in the wealth management sector.
He has a degree from Oxford University, and with Finance Map he enjoys teaching others the knowledge that they seek to succeed professionally and personally.
Before joining Finance Map in 2025, Jules Mort gained more than 25 years of experience as an equity fund manager at Baillie Gifford, Threadneedle and Marathon – where he contributed to the book Capital Returns – and, most recently, at Hosking Partners, a global fund management firm he co-founded in 2013.
He holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and is passionate about using Finance Map to cut through financial jargon, making finance easy to understand and accessible to everyone.
