April 2023 – CLE accreditation
I often teach US lawyers over Zoom and one of my US clients succeeded in getting CLE accreditation for the sessions – they booked two in the same week. Feedback was described as “overwhelmingly positive”, and this looks to become an increasingly important side of the business.
April 2023 – 7 classes with 4 different law firms
“Excellent explanations with real life examples to keep it engaging” – “I found it useful to have everything broken down simply and concisely. Loved the branded cards/map” – “Pitched at great level / v relevant to lawyers and to practice area / v useful forum to ask questions”.
March 2023 – Problems for the banks
My classes are now including discussion of Silicon Valley Bank and Credit Suisse, and how in March they were both brought down by deposit withdrawals – precipitated by different concerns in each instance.
March 2023 – Financial Statements class
“Would love another session – very helpful and useful for my practice” – “Answered all of our questions well and helped us to work out answers (not just tell us the answer)” – “Great content, delivered really well” – “It was perfect”.
February 2023 – Executive search firm
I returned to this executive search firm to give my Finance Map class, which allows their younger employees to gather more detail on the different activities of their different bank and asset management clients.
February 2023 – Family group sessions
In December and February, I taught my Finance Map and Investing Unravelled classes to a family group of three, and I was delighted that one of the sons used the knowledge gained to help to secure a job with a major bank.
