Finance Map

In a record month, I taught 12 company Finance Map and Financial Statements classes to 146 attendees – nine sessions at six law firms which are always very active in October, and three sessions at two wealth management firms.

There were only two Finance Map classes for lawyers this month, ahead of what will be my busiest month ever in October, with nine Finance Map and Financial Statements classes for six different law firms.

A young student took my Finance Map class a year ago, and he contacted me again to follow up with my Financial Statements class – as preparation for the start of a law and finance master’s degree at the London School of Economics.

I gave a Finance Map class to a dozen or so wealth management professionals at a famous large bank and I was pleased with this reaction from a more senior attendee after I had finished the class – “you should be compulsory”.

August is always busy for individual classes, and I taught my Leveraged Finance class to someone seeking a new credit market role. This class is now renamed “Credit Markets” because it covers topics useful for the numerous investors in those markets and the firms advising them.

Individuals who have attended my classes are always welcome to seek guidance from me prior to interviews. This former army officer did that this summer and he starts a job at Schroders in September – “you put me in a really good position to be confident in the final interviews”.
